Green Serpentine Gemstone Copper - Silver Pendant

The pendant has been crafted by hand using a green serpentine stone and solid copper and silver wire.

Serpentine is known for its ability to help stabilize metabolism and promote control over one's life. It is also believed to help clear one's thoughts, making it easier to meditate. Serpentine is a green, translucent, waxy silicate of magnesium. It can range in color from apple-green to black and is often mottled with light and dark areas. Although similar in appearance to jade, it is softer and less dense. The name "serpentine" is derived from the Greek word for serpent, due to the stone's resemblance to a snake's skin.

The pendant's back and size are shown in the included photos. Please note that copper naturally darkens with age, but can be lightened with a polishing cloth, which is included.
